Potpourri recipe

SO many pretty flowers were given on Valentine's Day and even if not, the grocery stores usually have some pretty inexpensive.  One of the things I like to do in winter is to add some colorful flowers around the place, then dry hang them upside down to dry with ribbons.  Just make sure all the stems are cut even and try a pretty ribbon tightly around the bunch and hang on a nail on the wall.  After a week or two, if you want or even later than that, you may remove the flower petals and put in a container or glass dish to make potpourri. You also may add a bit of olive oil to the mix of pulled off petals and add a scent to the oil or simply leave alone to allow the original scent.  Either way, it's a nice splash of color when we all are feeling so blahhh with the icky with stuff outside our doors.
